Good tips, but recipes are sub-par by D. Reed
I liked Ani’s ideas and tips for a healthy eco-friendly lifestyle, but many of the recipes weren’t very good. Some are heavy on the spices and onions, and it really overpowers the dishes. Other times they’re bland and boring. I like how most of the recipes are simple and quick, but if they don’t turn out well, then it’s sort of a lost cause. The book introduced me to many different methods of preparing raw foods, which is great, but you can learn principles from any raw cookbook.

Great book! Lots of easy, fast and delicious recipes. A must-have for anyone starting out on a raw food diet, or wanting to increase the healthy foods in their meals.
Awesome easy uncook book that doesn’t require a dehydrator for most of its recipes. by K. Coveney
I have been borrowing raw books from the library in attempt to come across a uncook book that didn’t leave me feeling like preparing raw food is just too hard. Don’t get me wrong, I love to cook, and make the vast majority of my meals from scratch (rather than adding pre-prepared jar/canned/frozen ingredients), but so many of the raw books out there require you to soak for 12 hours, germinate for 4, marinade for 2, then dehydrate for 12-20 hours (I’ve actually got some burgers dehydrating at the moment that I started making 2 days ago). Ani’s recipes taste fantastic and aren’t heavy with coconut/avocado/olive/nut oils like many raw meals.
What make’s Ani’s book great is that most of her recipes can be made within 30mins-1 hour, only a handful require a dehydrator, and every recipe I’ve tried so far works. This is the first of all the books I have borrowed that I have actually bought.

I got Ani’s book about a week ago. It’s jam packed with recipes that are tasty and SIMPLE to prepare.
I love reading cookbooks. They inspire me to create and combine. I especially enjoy, healthful RAW ‘cook’books that don’t require INTENSE preparation for EVERYTHING.
Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy prepping, but, when I want to prepare myself a beautiful, healthful, meal in minutes, I don’t want to wish I’d begun preparing or given it a thought three to seven days beforehand! That’s one reason I ADORE ANI’s Book! You can prep and eat a meal whenever you want SIMPLY. A pure joy.
ANI’S RAW FOOD KITCHEN has inspired me to make more RAW recipes as well as experiment and create some yummy, quick raw treats on my own.
Thanks again Ani. Your book is a gem. It’s definitely going to get a lot of use in MY kitchen.
